a. Readers can use his/her own reader’s card to borrow books, instead of others’. Books can be given back by others.

b. Each card can borrow 3 copies of Chinese books for 30 days, followed with a renewal of 30 days.

c. If the deadline is about to come,please renew or return the books as soon as possible, or each volume will be charged 0.1 yuan per day.

d. Please properly keep the books. Don’tcause damage to the books.Don’t privatelycarry out the books before the loan is checked out.

e. Please report the staff if any damage is found before the loan.

f. If the books are lost or damaged, the card holder should pay the compensation or buy a substitute in accordance with the relevant regulations.

How to borrow books?

Step 1: Retrieve

Log in the figure web site of Gansu Provincial Library (www.gslib.com.cn), or login retrieval machine, and click on the "joint directory queries"to enter the searching page. Then you can search for books according to the author, title, classification, theme, the CNMARC and theperiodical name.

Step 2: Learn about the location

The main documents of the GSLIB are classified according to the Chinese library classification system, and the document of different categories are placed in the circulation areas of different floors.

Step 3: Read

You can find the documents in the corresponding floor and shelves according to the information retrieved from the computer, and then read in the open-stack reading area with anallograph plate.

Step 4: Borrow

Please borrow books from the loan desk.

Step 5: Renew

Please renew your book that is about to exceed the time limit in time. You can apply for the renewal at thecorresponding workbench or by making a phone call.
